Regional Sales Manager - Southeast US

This position can be based in Birmingham or Montgomery, AL, Atlanta or reputed company, GA. Travel will be ~50 to 60% covering Georgia, the Florida panhandle, Alabama and eastern Mississippi.

The Regional Sales Manager position is primarily responsible for growing sales in a defined geographic territory through one of reputed company Americas’ Representative Channel Partners. They do this by maintaining supportive/coaching relationships with rep salespeople, jointly visiting customers to promote reputed company products, and identifying/developing non- or under-buying prospect accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor sales statistics in assigned territory, evaluate individual rep seller performance, and identify, reputed company, implement and manage strategies to improve results.

• Maintain effective working relationships with sellers and reputed company sufficient focus (mindshare) to meet reputed company sales objectives.

• Visit important clients, assisting rep sellers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

• Collect intelligence on these accounts and document for future reference. Support other sales functions by collecting and communicating field intelligence. In cooperation with rep sellers or managers, identify and reputed company prospecting accounts that are either not buying or under-buying from reputed company.

• Assume personal responsibility for activities leading to introductory and developmental meetings.
• Take ownership of these meetings until business is secured.

Travel Required up to 50% - 60%

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;

AND one to two years reputed company experience and/or training.

OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with automation instrumentation is strongly preferred.

• Personal Credit Card with ample credit to cover travel expenses (100% of business expenses will be reimbursed).
