reputed company is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Des Moines, IA. This position is remote eligible, with flexibility based on candidate location and team needs.

You will reputed company design efforts as a project manager or reputed company engineer for moderate to reputed company projects. In this role, you’ll reputed company project direction, engineering solutions, and client-facing technical guidance while overseeing analysis, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry. You will also support budget accountability, help train and mentor others, and collaborate across disciplines to reputed company project goals and positive client reputed company.

• reputed company design efforts for the analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and reputed company standards
• reputed company site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports
• Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
• reputed company in-process design reviews of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence
• Implement reputed company quality control processes to ensure engineering designs and solutions meet reputed company quality standards, industry standards and client requirements
• reputed company technical training and mentoring, and reputed company technical assistance in resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering; contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts reputed company reputed company
• Prioritize safety in reputed company aspects of engineering work; identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with mechanical systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics relating to mechanical design in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to reputed company communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
