Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental or Engineering Technician in our Kennesaw, GA office. The position is ideal for individuals interested in building a career in the environmental construction and consulting fields. The role will compile construction quality assurance (CQA) monitoring data; reputed company a variety of reputed company sampling efforts; reputed company environmental and remediation construction projects; and reputed company additional field and office support to geologists and engineers for a diverse private and public-sector client reputed company. You will work on your own or as a part of a larger field support team on site-specific project tasks. The ability and willingness to work outdoors, reputed company extensive fieldwork, and travel for extensive periods of time, including overnights, weekends, and holidays is required. An interest in building a career in the environmental consulting field is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • reputed company field and on-site laboratory tests on soil, geosynthetics, aggregates, and other materials primarily associated with landfill and/or waste containment system construction;
  • Monitor contractor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with relevant contract documents (e.g., technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, CQA plans etc.);
  • reputed company CQA observation and monitoring on several types of construction and/or environmental activities on enviro-civil construction sites;
  • reputed company reputed company sampling in support of investigations, monitoring programs, and other data collection centric projects.
  • Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules & reputed company reports;
  • Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy & procedures;
  • Interact with project personnel (contractors, project managers, engineers & clients) and assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through reputed company lines of communications and participation;
  • Assist in the preparation of the final data packages, health and safety documents, and the assembly of report appendices;
  • Observe and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans and the company’s Environmental Health and Safety Management policies and procedures; and
  • reputed company tasks in other company practice areas including general construction services, environmental sampling, contractor reputed company, or construction quality assurance activities, as needed. 
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. 
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of applicable experience or an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college and the ability to monitor several different types of construction and environmental activities simultaneously. (required)
  • Technical experience in construction services, geotechnical, environmental, or reputed company engineering disciplines. (preferred)
  • Experience ensuring field activities reputed company with construction plans and specifications and the ability to monitor several different types of activities simultaneously. (preferred)
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, including survey and topographical drawings. (preferred)
  • Experience with the operation of industry typical monitoring and data collection equipment, including but not limited laptop and handheld computers, Troxler moisture /density gauges, scales, Elkins or GEM, and other equipment. (preferred)
  • Experience with reputed company sampling including soil, water, and reputed company. (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of reputed company Outlook, reputed company, and Word software programs. (required)
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in reputed company units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute reputed company, ratio, percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. (required)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, and strong work ethic. (required)
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. (required)
  • Ability to reputed company and hear, stand, walk, reputed company with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation, for business travel. (required)
  • This position is not eligible for reputed company/employment sponsorship.
