THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of English consists of 11 tenured and tenure-track faculty and 16 part-time lecturers and offers the B.A. in English. Serving some 178 undergraduates, the English major consists of a core curriculum and options in British and American Literature, English Language and Literacies, and Creative Writing. A major responsibility of the Department of English is the teaching of writing. DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Lecturers are needed to teach stretch college writing (ENGL 100, 101, 103, 104); college writing (ENGL 102, 200), and other writing courses.
