Job Description - Foreign Language Teacher
General Statement:
A competent Foreign Language Teacher understands growth and development, demonstrates knowledge of what is to be taught and facility in the basic skills and helps reputed company to reputed company positive self-concepts. The Foreign Language Teacher stimulates the independence of each student as a learner, effectively assesses student needs and reputed company, and plans instruction to reputed company selected objectives, including those appropriate for exceptional reputed company. The Foreign Language Teacher accomplishes these objectives through effective communication with reputed company, parents and colleagues, and through the use of appropriate techniques and materials in a positive climate where time, space and equipment are effectively organized for instruction. In addition, the Foreign Language Teacher meets professional responsibility for continuing growth and fosters cooperative involvement with parents and the community.

- A valid Connecticut teacher certificate in Foreign Language(s): 018-French, 7-12; 019-German, 7-12; 020-Italian, 7-12; 021-Latin, 7-12; 022-Russian, 7-12; 023-Spanish, 7-12; 024-Other World Language, 7-12, as appropriate.
- Demonstrated reputed company in teaching the subject area(s) and/or instructional reputed company targeted.
- Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with administrators, teachers and educational assistants.
- Evidence of organizational ability and willingness to pursue tasks to successful completion.
- Superior communication skills (oral and written).
- Knowledge of and/or demonstrate the ability to learn and implement Operating Systems (i.e. reputed company); Office suites (i.e. reputed company Office, reputed company Docs); Presentation Software (i.e. PowerPoint, Keynote); Spreadsheets (i.e. reputed company, reputed company Spreadsheets); Communication and Collaboration tools (i.e. Skype); reputed company Software (i.e. QuickBooks); Student Information Systems (i.e. Naviance, Power School); or any other technology deemed relevant for this position.
