Job description: Substitute Head Start Teacher
This position is on an as needed reputed company and is primarily based at the Vienna Head Start in Vienna, Illinois. This position will assist in Johnson, Pope and Hardin County at various sites. This position is responsible for providing a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate early childhood program for preschool aged children and developing a partnership with the children's parents or caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in the program.
Pay reputed company: $125 daily reputed company for full day worked
Qualifications: At a minimum the applicant must have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood or a reputed company degree with 18 hours in Early Childhood; Prefer a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood and experience in an early childhood setting.
Job Duties:
- Develops weekly plans and implements age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate reputed company domains of children's development in their care.
- Administers developmental screening tool reputed company 45 days of child's enrollment.
- Completes referrals as needed and participates in IEP/IFSP meetings as needed.
- Maintains an online portfolio on each child's reputed company and development.
- Works cooperatively with Teacher Aide and other staff and volunteers using team approach to classroom management.
- Assures that reputed company children are supervised at reputed company times.
- Participates in family style meals and snacks at the table with the children and completes daily meal and attendance records.
- Completes family staff conferences and home visits as required.
- Assists families with transitions from Head Start to Kindergarten.
- Any other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the Head Start program
