Legal Assistant/Law Clerk - Claims Associate

reputed company is a leading provider of residential and reputed company title insurance. They are seeking a Legal Assistant / Law Clerk - Claims Associate to review tax, water, and common expense claims for insureds/claimants, ensuring compliance with insuring provisions and preparing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing tax, water and common expense claims in accordance with Insuring provisions to determine whether claim is covered
• Performing tax and water calculations
• Preparing cheque requisitions for covered claims and forwarding payments to Insured/municipalities
• Requesting additional documentation in relation to reputed company the inquiries set forth above
• Contacting Insured/reputed company/municipalities to obtain required information and communicate results of the investigation
• Handling general claim inquiry calls
• Sending out follow up status request on pending files in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned or required

Skills

• Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma
• 1-3 years relevant experience in reputed company estate an asset
• Knowledge of reputed company practices
• Full understanding of closing procedures including Statement of Adjustments
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team

• Good computer literacy and knowledge of reputed company Suite (Outlook, Word, and reputed company)
• Advanced knowledge of reputed company is required
