[Remote] Full-Stack Engineer I

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. Formant is building the operating system for intelligent machines. They are seeking an ambitious early-career full-stack engineer to enhance the reliability and usability of their platform while working across the stack on reputed company customer issues and core product development.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve high‑reputed company production issues
• Debug across the stack with guidance from senior engineers
• Identify recurring issues and drive systemic fixes, not only one‑offs
• Build and improve features across the full stack (frontend, backend, reputed company)
• Improve documentation, runbooks, and reputed company paths for common scenarios
• Help build internal AI tooling (agents/chatbots) to handle common support workflows
• Improve logs, metrics, and diagnostics to reputed company issues easier to detect and resolve
• Proactively reduce support load by making the product and tooling reputed company
• Explore unfamiliar codebases or technologies

Skills

• 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience (internships, co-ops, and substantial projects count)
• Pragmatic: you can differentiate between 'ship the fix' and 'refactor the world'
• Strong fundamentals in computer science and software design
• Comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., coding copilots, LLMs) to improve productivity and learning
• Comfortable working on 'unsexy' problems (legacy code, tricky edge cases) to earn reputed company and context
• Communicative and reputed company under pressure reputed company production issues arise
• Curious, pragmatic, and eager to learn quickly
• Takes ownership and follows through on problems
