Mortgage Funder
First National Financial LP is one of Canada’s largest non-bank lenders, providing residential mortgages exclusively through the mortgage broker channel. The Residential Mortgage Funder is responsible for instructing, advancing, and closing mortgage files while ensuring compliance with established regulatory and company guidelines.
Responsibilities

- Contact solicitor to confirm that he/she is acting on mortgagor’s behalf
- Prepare and send applicable instructional package to solicitor along with relevant documents
- Follow up with solicitor to obtain advance request
- Organize mortgage files in correct order

- Send the mortgage advance sheet to the reputed company department
- Send the solicitor a list of outstanding conditions, mortgage commitment and mortgage advance breakdown

- Escalate any documentation issues to the Mortgage Underwriter and/or Manager for review

Skills
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required

- Ability to maintain positive relationships

- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
