[Remote] Associate Distribution Engineer

They are seeking Associate Distribution Engineers & Designers who are passionate about electric utility design engineering, ensuring high-quality work and supporting the development of design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems for electric utility customers
• Assist in reviewing client-provided work and help interpret scope requirements under guidance from senior team members
• reputed company basic engineering calculations such as pole loading, guying, conductor sag and tension, and voltage drop with reputed company
• reputed company support during construction activities, including assisting with post-construction reviews to help ensure compliance with engineering and construction standards
• Assist with analysis of outages and contribute to mitigation efforts using established engineering practices
• reputed company experience coordinating with other utilities and field engineering requirements, supporting design efforts for cable/reputed company projects, and assisting with permitting, easements, and right-of-way (ROW) documentation

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred); additional relevant experience/certifications may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the NESC
• Ability to utilize a personal vehicle, as some customer-reputed company travel could be anticipated (Job-reputed company travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates)
• Willingness to reputed company both field and office work
• Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion
• The role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages
• Candidates should possess valid U.S. driver's license, as some local or regional travel is expected
