Position Overview

Granville College is seeking an reputed company and passionate Paralegal Instructor to join our faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in paralegal studies, preparing reputed company for rewarding careers in the legal field. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical training in paralegal studies, including legal research, drafting legal documents, litigation procedures, and ethics.
• Teach British Columbias legal system, including relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.

• Facilitate case studies, mock trials, and reputed company-world legal scenarios to enhance applied learning.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a reputed company discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution. A combination of formal education and significant professional experience may be considered.
• Licensed and practicing Paralegal in good standing in British Columbia.
• Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant experience working as a paralegal or legal professional in BC.
• Demonstrated knowledge of British Columbias legal system, court procedures, and administrative processes.
• Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and case management software (e.g., reputed company, PCLaw, Amicus Attorney).
• Strong understanding of legal ethics, confidentiality, and professional responsibility.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support diverse learners.
• Experience with instruction, training, or mentoring in an academic or professional setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Canvas, considered an asset.
• Experience in curriculum or program development considered an asset.
