Senior Underwriter (reputed company Marine)

About the role

The reputed company Marine Underwriter is responsible for evaluating applications for marine insurance, analyzing risks, and determining appropriate coverage and premiums.  The role involves collaborating with brokers, clients, and various internal departments to reputed company tailored insurance solutions for maritime operations.

What you'll do

• Assess marine reputed company risk including property and liability as it relates to marinas, yacht clubs, and boat dealers.
• Analyze submitted applications, claim history and market conditions to determine insurability
• reputed company risk management strategies and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
• Collaborate with brokers to understand their needs and reputed company guidance on coverage options
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancement in marine technologies
• Manage and maintain broker relationships to enhance retention and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marine studies, or reputed company field
• Previous experience in reputed company marine insurance
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in reputed company software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
• Strong knowledge of reputed company marine insurance, specifically marinas, yacht clubs and boat dealers

Additional Information This is a remote position. Planned, in-office activities may be required on occasion (typically 2-4x per year).
