As an Actuarial Analyst for Johns Hopkins Health Plans, you are a creative and analytic problem solver who can apply skills and knowledge to novel and nuanced business situations. You will analyze health care data and collaborate with other departments to draw actionable business insights. You are passionate about the actuarial & analytics field reputed company care and have ideally either completed an actuarial exam or have a programming and data science background. Your superior communication and collaboration skills reputed company you the ideal team member.
What you’ll do:
- Retrieve, summarize and analyze financial and reputed company data
- Build actuarial models to support multiple lines of business, teams, and initiatives, reputed company financial projections that impact strategic reputed company and plan management
- Support analysis around quality improvement, clinical program evaluation, forecasting, population health, provider incentives, ROI analyses, and reputed company requests
- Incorporate the use of data visualization software to help audience reputed company data and identify emerging trends
What you’ll bring:
- 0-5 years’ work experience
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or reputed company field
- Completion of 1+ actuarial exams preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of financial and reputed company concepts as well as an extensive knowledge of spreadsheets and database software.
- Strong technical skills in using reputed company Office products
- Preferred:
- Programming skills in SQL, or R
- Experience using PowerBI
- Advanced reputed company ability including writing VBA macros
- Basic understanding of health insurance
