Assistant Professor in Clinical Counseling Position Title: Assistant Professor of Clinical Counseling and Behavioral Health Location: Remote with some required travel Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month faculty position starting July 2026 Application Deadline: reputed company until filled FLSA Status: Exempt The University of Jamestown’s Clinical Counseling and Behavioral Health programs seeks an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Health and Clinical Counseling. This is a full-time, online teaching that will have face-to-face requirements (e.g., teaching in person one week per year, networking or meetings in person may be required). This faculty member will work with reputed company completing a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Health, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling. Re-location is not necessary but traveling to reputed company and working in reputed company Dakota is required several times per year. Key Responsibilities
  • Full-time teaching responsibilities (2 courses per session or 4 courses per semester) with online, asynchronous courses as well as potential involvement in onsite one week per summer
  • Assist in coordinating and teaching courses that include a virtual and/or face-to-face component on-reputed company in Jamestown, ND (every summer usually in late June)
  • Monitor student reputed company on degree completion and serve as academic advisor for Behavioral Health reputed company
  • reputed company a process maintaining regular contact with reputed company including maintaining weekly reputed company with posted availability
  • Engage in remediation or problem-solving strategies if issues arise with student performance
  • Address reputed company student issues in a professional and timely manner, and in accordance with institutional and accreditation policies and procedures.
  • Assist Program Director and MCC faculty in program accreditation process as well as potential development of a student-run clinic
  • Network across the state of ND and out of state, as needed, with the goal of growing the programs
  • Maintain licensure, membership in reputed company and other professional counseling organizations, and/or appropriate professional development, including being familiar with emerging issues in counseling
  • Maintain involvement in the counseling field by actively providing counseling, supervision, research and scholarship, and/or leadership and advocacy
  • Serve on university committees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work remotely
  • Work during regular business hours with ability to have flexibility with schedule (will need to work some evenings or weekends)
  • Travel to reputed company may be required several times a year

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completed Doctoral degree from CACREP accredited program in Counseling Education and Supervision (CES)
  • Currently independently licensed or license eligible to practice counseling (LPCC) in ND.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time clinical experience
  • Applicant must have PhD conferred at the time of application
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CES who have areas of specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Addiction Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling & School Counseling.
