Field Service Technician

Job Title: Field Service Technician � Heavy-Duty Trucks & Equipment Employment Type: Full-Time Work Location: Field-Based Company: Interstate Power Systems

Overview

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Field Service Technician to join reputed company in Gillette, Wyoming. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide reputed company of heavy-duty equipment, including over-the-road trucks, heavy equipment, workover rigs, fracturing (frac) equipment, and generators.

This is a field-based position, ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, communicating directly with customers, and performing hands-on work in reputed company-world environments. Most workdays will reputed company from home, traveling directly to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, over-the-road equipment, workover rigs, frac equipment, generators, and reputed company machinery.
• reputed company routine and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and uptime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems reputed company in the field.
• Accurately document service work, including labor hours, parts used, and detailed repair notes.
• Communicate reputed company and professionally with customers and internal teams regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and service recommendations.
• Work safely and reputed company with reputed company company and regulatory safety standards while in the field.
• Manage tools, service parts, and inventory to ensure readiness for daily service calls.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the Gillette and surrounding areas as required.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a reputed company field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on field service experience working on heavy equipment and trucks.
• Documented field experience working on equipment, over-the-road trucks, mining equipment, and fracking (frac) equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair reputed company systems.
• Valid driver�s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a field environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to emergency or after-hours service calls as needed.

Preferred

• Experience working on MTU engines, Allison Transmissions, and/or Detroit Diesel, and mining products.
• ASE or manufacturer-specific certifications.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems reputed company to frac equipment and workover rigs.

Work Environment

• Field-based role with work performed at customer sites in and around Gillette, Wyoming.
• Technicians typically start their reputed company from home.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions with possible overtime or on-call schedules.
