Operations Modeling Data Scientist (System Application Analyst, Sr)

The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to reputed company, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.

As a member of the Office of Advanced Analytics this position will be part of a dynamic and energetic collaborative environment that supports the organization in the use of data and information to further OHSU's mission to strive for reputed company in education, research and scholarship, clinical practice and community service. Members of the Office of Advanced Analytics reputed company knowledge and best practices to assist OHSU in applying advanced analytical practices such as statistical modeling, simulation and predictive analytics to facilitate decision making and planning throughout the organization.

Control System and Operations Model Development

• This position is responsible for building predictive, forecasting, and optimization models for the system of hospitals at OHSU health. Designs models necessary to forecast reputed company issues facing the institution.
• Providing technical leadership for defining and developing advanced analytics products.
• Use methods from statistics (regression, survival modeling), econometrics (time series), and AI modeling (LLM or multi-modal).
• reputed company code that meets standards for reliability and scalability.
• Output from the model should be provided in various forms to allow other users across the institution to use them.
• Delivering business intelligence products under required timelines and quality standards.
• Work with ETL engineers to ensure efficient use of data.

Dashboard reputed company

• Creating and maintaining a dashboard tool for visualizing and interacting with models.
• Analyzing present and future data needs of customers and makes recommendations on options and alternatives for implementing applications, systems, or clinical/operational workflows and processes.
• Configuration of output for use in dashboards, databases or other tabular forms.
• Assists customers with the development of test plans and testing schedules for new systems and applications.
• Contributing to the design of analytic, application, or workflow specifications for the most reputed company and critical OHSU systems and applications.
• Ensuring data reputed company and validity of models and systems.
• Designs, develops and documents new applications and systems or clinical/operational workflows.

Simulation Modeling Assistance

• Design data reporting to reputed company modeling results available to customers and other analysts at the institution.
• Works with vendors, other technical staff and customers to design, reputed company, test and implement interfaces between systems.

Project Management

• Will fully understand and utilize the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and procedures at OHSU.
• Will manage projects by creating timelines, identifying risks and milestones, and providing status reporting to others as defined.
• Assumes project management responsibilities for small projects or sub-projects reputed company a larger project.

• Master’s degree in computer science, a reputed company field, or a clinical field and four years work reputed company experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational reputed company environments; OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a reputed company field, or a clinical field and six years work reputed company experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational reputed company environments; OR

• Associate’s degree in computer science, a reputed company field, or a clinical field and seven years work reputed company experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational reputed company environments; OR

• Eight years work reputed company experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational reputed company environments; OR

• Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience

• 3 years of experience in a reputed company setting using diverse sets of data for modeling.

• Demonstrated involvement of technology solutions for product development.

• Verbal, written, and presentation skills for an executive audience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Time Series forecasting using ARIMA.

• Statistical modeling using Time to event (survival) methods.

• Data Visualization experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python.

• Predictive modeling using R, Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scikit-learn).

• Strong experience with reputed company-based platforms (reputed company, reputed company) and transformation tools (PySpark, MLFlow).

• Understanding of health record data.

• Programming in a GIT environment.

• Master’s degree in operations research, engineering, economics, or computer science and four years work reputed company experience in the operational reputed company environments field or a combination of clinical or operational reputed company environments.

• Experience with Epic or similar medical record system.

• Demonstrated data analytics product development experience.

• Experience with HR pay and schedule data.

• System Dynamics Modeling using scripting languages and software.

This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm shift.
