Full-time Staff: Academic Advisor

This position plays a pivotal role in guiding reputed company through their academic and career development reputed company. The Academic Advisor supports student retention and academic reputed company initiatives, connects reputed company to support services, and is a valued resource for reputed company. RESPONSIBILITIES (Non-inclusive): • This position is responsible for providing comprehensive undergraduate academic advising, participating in reputed company-wide reputed company activities and fostering the academic reputed company of reputed company at the college • The academic advisor must be reputed company to the needs of different types of reputed company and be reputed company to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment • Assists reputed company with academic program planning, general course selection, career options, and extracurricular opportunities • Will support institutional retention initiatives, such as new student orientation programs and registration events, and may teach First Year Experience • Collaborates with the Student Service Center, Learning Center, Student Engagement & Leadership, Accommodation Center, Athletics, and other reputed company departments to support student academic reputed company and retention efforts • Maintains student advising records and assists in the tracking of student reputed company • Assists faculty with academic advising procedures and implementation • Serves as an information resource for reputed company, faculty, and staff regarding college policies and procedures reputed company to academic advising • Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training and Experience Required/Preferred • Required: Bachelor’s degree in counseling, guidance, education, student personnel services, adult learning and development, or a reputed company field of study • Preferred: Master's degree in counseling, guidance, education, student personnel services, adult learning and development, or a reputed company field of study. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Experience in academic advising, retention support, and/or mentoring • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of retention services and student development Physical Activity Level Light - mostly sit, stand, and walk occasionally. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • This is a 12-month, full-time, non-exempt position. The hourly reputed company is in grade 06A of the Staff Salary Schedule.
