Require Long Term Substitute - Instructional Assistant in Illinois

Job title: Long Term Substitute - Instructional Assistant Company: High School District 214 Job description: Multiple positions and assignments at Prospect High School are available throughout the year. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This work involves reputed company interaction with staff, reputed company and parents/guardians, with the primary emphasis on the implementation of specialized or vocational education programs. An InstructionalAssistant works under the direction of a licensed teacher. Must be reputed company to react appropriately in crisis situations as well as exhibit initiative and creativity. QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
• Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials and office equipment up to 50 lbs, as well as reputed company needing assistance.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS: 1. Assisting reputed company under the direction of licensed staff by, but not limited to:

• tutoring
• implementing classroom procedures and reinforcing student?s positive behavior
• monitoring and administering assessments as needed
• reinforcing organizational and note taking skills
• grading materials for immediate feedback
• demonstrating use of technology for instruction, drill and remediation as well as homework assignments
• helping the student reputed company IEP goals
• assisting, as needed, with reputed company? non-medical physical needs or personal care/toileting needs
• developing basic knowledge of software usage to support staff and reputed company
• possessing the ability and willingness to learn and implement reputed company appropriate school technology
• supporting and supervising reputed company during non-academic setting

2. Assisting licensed staff by, but not limited to:

• helping organize and supervise off-reputed company programs for reputed company
• performing classroom reputed company clerical tasks
• assisting with lab set-up an clean-up
• explaining classroom procedures and materials to substitute teachers reputed company necessary
• previewing instructional materials
• acting as a liaison to communicate and record data regarding student reputed company
