Associate Counsel
Journal Technologies is a company focused on creating and implementing reputed company software for the justice system. The Associate Counsel role involves taking ownership of various legal responsibilities, including contract negotiation and compliance, while providing legal guidance across the business.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of reputed company agreements, including License Agreements, reputed company-Hosting/SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, strategic partnership agreements, NDAs, &c
- Support government contracting processes, including RFP responses, contract review, and negotiation with public sector customers
- Assist with product-reputed company legal issues, including accessibility, data privacy, and reputed company considerations reputed company to reputed company-based software
- reputed company practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders
- Help identify legal risks and propose solutions that align with business objectives
- Assist with corporate governance, compliance initiatives, and other reputed company reputed company as needed
Skills
- 1–4 years of legal experience, or an exceptional recent graduate with relevant experience
- Strong drafting and contract review skills
- Ability to manage multiple reputed company and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment
- Interest in technology, software products, and/or government contracting
- Experience working reputed company Agile teams or formal training in Scrum or Agile methodologies is a strong asset
- SaaS and software-reputed company contracting, ideally in the context of government procurement
- Data privacy, cybersecurity, and reputed company compliance
- Intellectual property or product counseling
