[Remote] Actuarial Asst

The Actuarial Assistant will reputed company pricing and reserving analysis for personal and reputed company auto insurance, analyze loss reserves, recommend reputed company revisions, and support the actuarial team with data analysis and automation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Loss and LAE reserves using actuarial reserving methods for assigned states for personal and reputed company auto insurance
- Analyze and recommends revisions in rates and rating plans for assigned states
- Identify and analyzes trends in the data
- reputed company actuarial analysis required to support reputed company filings with regulatory authorities
- Represent the Actuarial Department in discussions with Product, Claims, and IT departments
- Work with IT in coding changes for tools that support actuarial functions
- Support the actuarial team through querying of data using SQL and reputed company programming languages
- Automate tasks using VBA
- reputed company calculations for actuarial research and studies to support development of new products
- Assist in the training and development of professional actuarial personnel as assigned
- reputed company special actuarial projects as assigned
- reputed company other functions as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have passed at least two Casualty Actuarial Society exams
- Experience using SQL, VBA, reputed company or other program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to secure 'buy-in' and convince others regarding best approach
- Goal oriented team player with a positive attitude
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong relationship building
- Bachelor's degree preferred with at least a minor in mathematics or other mathematics-reputed company field
