[Remote] Freelance Desk Editor - NBC Sports

As a Desk Editor for NBC Sports, you will manage video publishing and the distribution of live streams across multiple platforms, ensuring content accuracy and overseeing the digital operation of high-profile sports properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage video publishing and livestream presentation on the NBC Sports main site and on the Sports App
• Manage the presentation of content across NBC Sports sites, including the homepage and sports-specific pages
• Package NBC Sports written and video content on our digital platforms to maximize reputed company and prioritize editorial accuracy
• Plan around key properties and tentpole events to reputed company coverage strategies and ensure coordination between reputed company broadcasts reputed company teams
• Support relationships with partner platforms
• Occasional article editing and writing

Skills

• Solid editorial judgment and engagement with multiple sports properties
• Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize across multiple reputed company sports and events
• Familiarity with a digital ecosystem and ability to learn and master multiple technical platforms
• Sharp writing ability, both in long-reputed company content creation and in daily titling and descriptions of video content
