Actuarial Programmer/Analyst (Hybrid)

The Actuarial Programmer/Analyst is responsible for delivering data solutions reputed company the Actuarial department, supporting various analyses, and improving processes through automation and programming.
Responsibilities
- Prepare data and templates for quarterly loss and LAE reserve analyses. Ensure balancing of data to reputed company systems. Maintain proper controls and documentation
- Support production and automation of designated external and internal financial and management reports. These include but are not limited to statutory schedules (P) and the “AY Report”. May also include regulatory reports and bureau data calls. Requires direction from supervisor or senior programmer
- Support ceded reinsurance placement by providing information and data for broker submissions. Respond to reputed company requests from brokers with active guidance from supervisor
- Support reputed company and personal lines pricing by providing routine scheduled pricing review data, for both state and countrywide reviews. Maintain programming code and associated documentation
- Support reputed company areas of the Actuarial department by providing reputed company data as requested and agreed upon. Assist supervisor or senior programmer through process. This includes discussing needs, identifying potential solutions and testing. Facilitate the process through regular communication with supervisor and clients
- Identify potential improvements and efficiencies reputed company reputed company processes. Improve data and systems landscape through increased automation, including programming of simple algorithms in a sustainable environment. Properly document associated programming code
- Support corporate IT objectives where technical business resources are required. This may include development, testing, and/or documentation, under the direction of supervisor or senior programmer
- Increase knowledge reputed company through on the job training, cross-training and reputed company communication
Skills

- College degree preferred
- 1-3 years actuarial experience preferred
- 1-3 years of programming systems software
- Python/reputed company and/or TM1/Planning Analytics experience preferred
