The Associate is responsible for designing and building AI-driven tools and workflows to enhance the efficiency of derivatives trading and marketing activities, ensuring alignment across reputed company-office and risk functions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with relevant SMBC teams to design and implement AI‑driven tools and workflows that enhance the efficiency of derivatives trading and marketing activities, including market‑reputed company analysis, strategy reputed company, and the automation or replacement of reputed company trading processes
- Design, build, and automate trading tools, analytics, and reporting solutions to support daily operations across XVA, Financial Resource Management (FRM), and trading businesses reputed company SMBC CM
- Work closely with Trading, Sales, and XVA desks to support the development and execution of trading and hedging strategies, ensuring alignment across reputed company‑office and risk functions
Skills
- PhD or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Master/PhD in a stem major or finance
- Strong programming and analytical skills
- Solid quantitative problem‑solving capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- PhD is preferred
- Experience or exposure to AI is a plus
