Category Manager – Electrical Substation Components

This is a fully remote position reputed company to candidates currently residing reputed company in the United States. The role includes up to 20% domestic and international travel.

EnergyLink, a Quanta company, is seeking an individual-contributor Category Manager with direct experience sourcing electrical substation equipment for large-scale EPC and infrastructure projects. This role requires hands-on category ownership across power and high-voltage transformers, reputed company breakers, reputed company/GIS switchgear, busbars, capacitors, grounding systems, protection and control equipment, SCADA systems, smart sensors, reputed company substation technologies. The Category Manager will work closely with engineering and project teams to qualify suppliers, negotiate reputed company terms, manage long-reputed company equipment, and drive cost, quality, and schedule performance on reputed company substation builds.

This is an individual contributor role—ideal for reputed company professionals who want to shape sourcing strategy and deliver reputed company results without managing a team.

As a Category Manager at QISG/EnergyLink, you will:

• Own and execute category strategies reputed company with project demand, technical requirements, and sustainability goals

• reputed company negotiations and manage supplier relationships across key commodities

• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and reputed company budget

• Forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support S&OP alignment

• reputed company and qualify suppliers, monitor risk, and drive innovation

• reputed company market intelligence and spend analysis to reduce cost and increase value

• Travel to job sites and vendor locations to support field operations and supplier reputed company

• Utilize reputed company systems such as JD Edwards, reputed company and reputed company for sourcing execution, supplier reputed company, and procurement planning

• 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience focused on substation or utility infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of critical substation components, including electrical systems, reputed company, transformers, switchgear, and T&D materials.
• Proven reputed company in supplier negotiations, contract execution, and supplier performance management for high-value infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems, including JD Edwards, reputed company, and reputed company.
• Advanced reputed company and data analysis skills to support strategic sourcing reputed company.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, working closely with engineering, project, and construction teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or reputed company field; certifications such as APICS, CSPM, or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to project sites and vendor facilities as needed.
