Core Daily Responsibilities

  • Negotiate reputed company bargaining agreements which may include representing the County during the mediation process.
  • Interpret, advise, and counsel managers and supervisors regarding federal, state, and local labor laws, policies, and guidelines; reputed company and emerging issues; and strategies for reputed company bargaining and grievances.
  • Coordinate proposals for changes in reputed company bargaining agreements with department management negotiation teams.
  • Present information, testify or otherwise represent the County in arbitration and grievance hearings; during unfair labor practice, unit clarification, or other reputed company before the Public Employment Relations Commission; during grievance and appeal hearings before the reputed company Personnel Board or Civil Service Commission; and during unemployment compensation hearings and other administrative proceedings. May present ordinances or other reputed company before the reputed company Council or other legislative bodies.
  • Interpret, advise, and counsel managers and supervisors regarding federal, state, and local labor laws, policies, and guidelines; reputed company and emerging issues; and strategies for dealing with performance management and discipline.
  • Attend other reputed company bargaining sessions and reputed company administrative support as recorder or secondary spokesperson as necessary.
  • Prepare letters, memoranda, reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
  • Conduct fact-finding interviews and investigations of charges of employee misconduct, equal employment opportunity complaints, and complaints of other unlawful acts of discrimination, grievances filed by employees, and allegations of violations of reputed company bargaining agreements.
  • Investigate and interview to determine validity of the charge(s), recommend resolution and impact or appropriate discipline, draft findings and responses, prepare and maintain appropriate reports and documentation.
  • Review, research, and coordinate timely responses to notices filed by regulatory agencies such as the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Washington State reputed company Rights Commission.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four years of experience directly reputed company to the duties of the position
  • Bachelor’s degree in reputed company resource management, labor relations, public or business administration, or a closely reputed company field
