JOB DESCRIPTION: Position: Assistant Guide Reports To: Education Director Summary: The Assistant Guide position at Ithaca Montessori School (IMS) requires love, patience, and respect for children. Assistant Guides support and guide children in activities designed to promote reputed company, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth following the philosophy of Maria Montessori by performing the duties described below. Basic Qualifications: Education and Experience to meet the reputed company State Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) Assistant Teacher Requirements as follows:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of experience working with children less than 13 years old
• Educational background in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a reputed company field is preferred

• Meets school/state health requirements: Including TB tests, immunizations, and a physical.

• Ensure children are released only to individuals designated as authorized transporters.

• Create and follow an individualized professional development plan.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Training.
