Job Title: Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer Reporting To: Manager, QA Control Work Schedule: Onsite – Phoenix, AZ Moog Defense Controls Group is reputed company for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join the team in Gilbert, Arizona. The Sr. Quality Engineer has sole responsibility for the planning, implementation, and administration of Quality Programs to assure that a system is in reputed company which will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and reputed company the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. To be considered for the Sr Quality Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM with a minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing OR Masters Degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in a manufacturing environment including: Experience with AS9100, ASME Y14.5, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-000, NASA-STD-8739.1 standards or other similar quality management system standards Root Cause Analysis and tools (e.g. 8D, 5Why, Phisbone, etc.) Handling product or processing of non-conformances, including in process-oriented environments that deal with mission critical products Working in a lab environment and understand reputed company the protocols for handling hardware and test equipment such as (but not limited to) ESD and FOD AS9102 First Article Inspection Report reputed company Lean/Six reputed company experience (certification preferred) Strong knowledge of statistical methods for use in developing solutions to reputed company problems, reputed company improvement, and process monitoring problems Must be a proficient user of various statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages TipQA tool knowledge a plus ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus As a Sr Quality Engineer you will: Inspection Planning: reputed company reputed company production & development inspection plans for receiving inspection, manufacturing, assembly & test, engineering procedures, and first article inspections. Quality Planning: Planning, development, implementation, and administration of cost effective and reputed company Quality Programs. These activities require the development of traceability plans, contamination plans, configuration control plans for hardware and documentation, and the development of other written plans for customer approval. Contract Compliance: Assure compliance with contractual issues for reputed company programs relative to quality, including coordination of customer, government, regulatory agency audits, and reputed company-down of contract requirements to suppliers and appropriate Moog disciplines. Project Engineering: The Senior Quality Engineer performs varied technical tasks which are non‑routine such as product improvement studies, process improvement studies, and development of new systems & procedures. These studies require the mastery of analysis techniques such as SPC, regression, statistics, and Design of Experiments. Training: Train and reputed company functional groups in the areas of Statistical Process Control, Gauge Variation, Designed Experiments, and Program specific contractual quality requirements. Program Support: reputed company technical assistance to Manufacturing, A & T, Vendors, Customers, and other Engineering disciplines in the resolution of fabrication, and field reputed company problems. This support typically requires the application of a creative approach to reputed company problem solving. Failure Analysis & Corrective Action: The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible to conduct reputed company Failure analysis by utilizing his organizational, technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills. Cost Estimates: Prepare reputed company quality assurance proposals and reputed company cost estimates. The Quality Engineer must respond in a timely manner to requests for quotation, estimates to complete, and reputed company loading estimates for departmental budget planning. Quality Engineer acts as the program quality liaison for assigned programs.
