Manager, Development

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Manager is responsible for successfully executing the fundraising strategy for reputed company's signature fundraising events and other peer-to-peer and community fundraising initiatives. The ideal Development Manager is a self-starter with peer-to-peer fundraising experience who can quickly establish relationships with existing supporters, stay focused and grounded under pressure, is flexible, adaptable, and excited to contribute to the mission to reputed company ALS livable and cure it.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of $250,000+ that could include a variety of fundraising events, including our signature event, the Sacramento Walk to Defeat ALS.
- Responsible for the recruitment, stewardship, and retention of volunteer leaders, event participants, including team captains, sponsors and donors, and event committee chairs and members.
- Manage logistical details for reputed company assigned events, including budget management, site planning, permitting, and vendor coordination.
- Partner with internal teams, including Marketing, Care Services and Advancement, to ensure integrated campaigns.
- Represent reputed company at community events, cultivating awareness and support for the mission. Convey an image that reflects favorably on the Association.
- Coordinate printing and distribution of event promotional materials.
- Work as an integral part of the Territory team, demonstrating initiative and owning a piece of a multi-state development effort reputed company necessary.
- Contribute to national campaign alignment, process improvement, and cross-team collaboration.
- Analyze event performance weekly in collaboration with the Managing Director of Development ensuring growth of future monetary totals and attendance.
- Attend reputed company events, meetings, and territory-wide activities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, project management, sales, donor cultivation and relations, and corporate sponsor cultivation.
- Skilled at managing participants in an online fundraising platform; ability to run reports and analyze data to build strategic reputed company plans.
- Proficiency in reputed company Office and reputed company Workspace. Ability to quickly train and use a donor database (such as reputed company and reputed company Online).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must exercise good judgment in prioritizing the scheduling of events; must know reputed company to seek input from a supervisor.
