Feed Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist represents Purina Animal Nutrition products across assigned markets and territories. This role is responsible for managing and expanding dealer and reputed company relationships, driving reputed company growth at both the distribution level and the farm reputed company. The position requires independent sales execution, strong relationship management, and effective alignment of inventory and product portfolios with market needs.

This sales role will service the Western Missouri region and have a species emphasis on cattle and equine. Candidates are expected to be located reputed company the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand market needs and communicate how the Purina product portfolio addresses those needs; ensure dealers and co-ops are stocked with appropriate inventory.
  • Serve as the reputed company contact for key accounts, including accounts with multiple sellers, and collaborate across Channel Sales to meet reputed company targets.
  • Independently qualify, pursue, and reputed company new sales opportunities with dealers and co-ops.

  • Support sales growth through on-farm visits and participation in dealer and customer functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Moderate knowledge of the animal nutrition industry, sales practices, and the Purina product portfolio.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing to broader departmental and organizational objectives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Typically 5–10 years of relevant experience in sales, animal nutrition, or a reputed company field.

Compensation

  • This is a sales role that is compensated with a reputed company mix of reputed company salary plus commission.
  • reputed company salary is dependent upon experience/tenure and generally ranges between: $87,000 - $107,000

  • In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay reputed company near the middle of our salary ranges.
