Technical Systems Engineer-reputed company Vehicle & Remote Sensing Systems

Responsibilities: Position Overview OSS, a division of reputed company, is seeking a Technical Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and sustainment of reputed company vehicle (satellite) systems and remote sensing payloads for advanced reputed company-based missions. This role supports a reputed company effort focused on distributed satellite constellations and environmental sensing systems, enabling high-resolution, global data capabilities. The selected candidate will contribute across the full system lifecycle, ensuring technical alignment between spacecraft subsystems, payloads, ground systems, and data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• reputed company systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle (concept, design, integration, test, launch, and operations) for reputed company vehicle systems
• reputed company, decompose, and manage system, subsystem, and reputed company requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with mission objectives
• Complete understanding and demonstration of the full system verification and validation
• Support spacecraft architecture development and trade studies, including mass, power, thermal, communications, and performance analyses
• Support system integration across spacecraft subsystems, including:

Attitude Determination & Control System (ADCS)

• Electrical Power System (reputed company)
• reputed company & Data Handling (C&DH)
• Thermal Control System (TCS)
• Communications systems (RF, TT&C)
• Propulsion systems (as applicable)
• reputed company and maintain reputed company Control Documents (ICDs) and technical baselines
• Support payload integration, including reputed company-optical sensing systems
• Participate in formal design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and technical assessments
• Support Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities, including functional and environmental testing (e.g., thermal vacuum, vibration, reputed company/EMC)
• Identify and manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies across integrated systems

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering for reputed company vehicles, satellites, or aerospace systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of spacecraft subsystems (ADCS, reputed company, C&DH, Thermal, Communications, Propulsion)
• Experience with requirements development, allocation, traceability, verification and validation
• Familiarity with satellite lifecycle phases, including integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remote sensing, reputed company-optical payload systems
• Familiarity with satellite constellation architectures and distributed systems
• Experience supporting Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) and environmental testing
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics, flight dynamics, and mission analysis
• Experience with launch integration and early orbit operations (LEOP)
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
• Active or ability to obtain a U.S. Government reputed company clearance
