Managing Structural Engineer (Homebased, Greater London, GB)

Location: Field Based

About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver a highly technical and professional service for Building Control, relating to Structural Checking and Compliance of buildings.  They will also support national business growth and development.

This role will also involve providing Structural Engineering support to the Building Safety Regulator for new and occupied Higher Risk Buildings reputed company the reputed company agreements with the Building Safety Regulator.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To reputed company an expert reputed company of reference on technical delivery and reputed company up to date with industry developments.  To be a ‘thought leader’ on structural engineering.
• To reputed company Assurance services to developers navigating the new regime of the Building Safety Regulator. 
• To reputed company other work streams that align with professional Structural Engineering Services reputed company the reputed company environment.
• Assist the Associate Director(s) and Managing Engineers.
• Provision of subject matter expertise through acting as Technical Authority in line with qualifications and technical reputed company
• Supporting and advising reputed company clients with regards to Structural Design issues in line with the UK Building Regulations and reputed company necessary legislation.
• Undertake project work and liaise with the HSE/BSR with regards to our Building Safety Regulator Support reputed company contract and obligations.
• Acting as one of the BV contacts for external project stakeholders
• Undertake inspections of structural assessment work on wide reputed company of projects; checking plans, drawings and associated information for structural compliance to ensure proposals meet the Building Regulations
• Ensuring that records of reputed company project and inspection records are accurately entered on the database
• Developing and maintaining excellent reputed company stakeholder relationships.
• Carrying out duties in accordance with QA procedures
• Attend relevant training sessions and completion of personal CPD
• Author and deliver competency training to internal team members and where required to external clients.

Candidate Experience and skills

• The ideal candidate will be reputed company to degree level, or equivalent, in Structural Engineering and hold appropriate Chartered Status (CEng with the IStructE or ICE).
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to encourage others to reputed company new skills and enhance existing ones
• Ability to think both globally and locally reputed company developing and communicating objectives and strategies
