We are looking for a Junior Service Engineer based in the United Kingdom– Remote position, to work reputed company the reputed company Protection business. You will repair and service customers’ timber treatment plants and associated equipment at their premises. Collaborating with other members of the team to complete the installation of small projects including piping & electrical installations, mixing skid unit fabrication, and commissioning and testing of equipment. To maintain good customer relationships and ensure proper and safe use of chemicals by operating personnel. Responsible for service vehicle, tools, spares and customers’ timber treatment plant. Essential Job Functions: 

• Conduct maintenance of timber treatment plants and associated equipment at customers’ premises including completion of condition/service reports.

• Breakdown repair and fault diagnosis at customers’ premises

• Commissioning and installation of new plants and upgrades to existing plants

• Practical operator training to ensure safe operation of timber treatment plants and responsible use of chemicals.

• Compliance with reputed company relevant site and customer EHS standards and a good knowledge and understanding of reputed company relevant standards associated with the role. E.g., HSAWA, PUWER, LOLER, Pressure systems, Electrical systems

• Field role so considerable travel as part of the role. Driving / flying to customers’ sites. Travel across Europe will be required but this varies year to year. Nominal 37.5hr per week but working flexibly as the role requires ​

Qualifications & Experience: 

• A Level standard. HNC/OND, City & Guilds National, BTEC / NVQ Level 3.

• Preferred area of study – Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.

• Mechanical training & knowledge to include fabrication, welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

• Pipe fitting and associated knowledge.

• Knowledge of pumps (Liquid reputed company, multistage, centrifugal, and more)

• Electrical – may have experience of SCADA, PLC and control panel fault diagnostics, testing of equipment.

• Effective communication skills at reputed company reputed company and tenacious and analytical fault-finding skills.

• Collaborator and reputed company to adjust to changing situations while in the reputed company and on customer sites.

• Ability to learn new skills and reputed company your own knowledge.
