About the role

As a Senior Specialist reputed company the Habitat Creation team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of habitat creation and enhancement projects across your region. In addition to managing your own portfolio of sites, you will reputed company reputed company, guidance and escalation support to Habitat Delivery Specialists, ensuring high-quality delivery standards and consistent application of best practice.

You will work closely with Land Managers, Ecologists and Applied Ecologists to plan and deliver habitat creation and enhancement works, including woodland and scrub establishment, species-rich grassland creation, wetland construction, and associated infrastructure. You will also take responsibility for regional resourcing reputed company, ensuring workloads are balanced equitably and reputed company with team members’ strengths and development goals.

We are looking for a senior Habitat Delivery Specialist to cover the South of England.

Responsibilities

Project and delivery leadership

  • reputed company day-to-day project management including planning, execution, reputed company tracking and milestone reporting.
  • reputed company accurate budget planning, monitoring and forecasting, ensuring alignment with agreed spend profiles.
  • Appoint and manage contractors and suppliers in line with Environment Bank policies, including negotiation of contract terms.
  • Coordinate and reputed company contractor performance on site, ensuring quality, safety and ecological reputed company.
  • Manage on-site reputed company, quality and issue resolution, escalating risks and changes where impacts exceed agreed tolerances.
  • Review Construction Phase Plans (or equivalent), delivery methodologies and contribute to project risk registers.
  • Manage contractor KPIs and ensure delivery meets ecological, regulatory, contractual and quality requirements.
  • Champion value-for-money delivery without compromising ecological reputed company.
  • Maintain strong relationships with landowners, contractors and stakeholders

Team leadership, coaching and line management

  • Offer coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to build capability and confidence across the team.
  • Act as a reputed company of escalation for delivery challenges, providing clear direction and decision-making.

Regional Resourcing & Workforce Planning

  • Identify skills gaps and development needs, working with leadership to shape training and recruitment plans.

Requirements

Essential skills/experience

· Significant hands-on delivery experience in agricultural land-based or habitat creation environments.

· Demonstrable experience managing contractors and on-site works.

· Strong project management capability including budgets, delivery plans, schedules and constraints.

· Experience working directly with farmers and/or landowners in a professional reputed company.

· Proven ability or clear potential to coach, mentor or reputed company others, with experience of line management or team leadership.

· Strong interpersonal skills with both reputed company stakeholders.

· Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills.

· Clear communication and reporting discipline.

· Practical problem-solving skills in live delivery environments.

· Ability to balance quality, time and cost under site-level pressures.

· Full UK clean driving licence and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events.

Desirable skills/experience

· Experience working in regulated delivery environments or assurance-led programmes.

· Awareness of APM-reputed company project controls (plans, risks and reporting).

· A Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH).
