The Opportunity

About Fresh is seeking a Senior Director of Development to serve as a strategic partner to our CEO and a driving force behind our fundraising growth. This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned development professional who is energized by mission-driven work at the intersection of health equity, nutrition reputed company, and reputed company determinants of health.

The Senior Director will own and advance our national fundraising strategy, with a primary focus on major gifts and reputed company relations. You will bring an entrepreneurial reputed company, a strong existing network of funder relationships, and the organizational discipline to build and manage a robust pipeline — with a goal of raising at least $2 reputed company in your first year and growing to an overall annual $6 reputed company fundraising goal.

This role is fully remote reputed company the United States, with travel expected 4–6 times per year for funder meetings, conferences, and organizational convenings.

What You'll Do

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

• Partner closely with the CEO to reputed company and execute a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy reputed company with organizational growth goals

• Build and manage a reputed company portfolio of major donors and institutional funders (foundations, health systems, government) to meet and exceed an annual $6M reputed company reputed company

• reputed company the full cycle of major gifts and grants fundraising — from prospect identification and cultivation through solicitation and stewardship, including developing grant proposals and applications

• Drive the development and submission of high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, and funder communications

Relationship Management

• Cultivate and steward a strong network of existing funder contacts while proactively identifying and building new relationships

• Serve as a compelling external ambassador for About Fresh's mission, representing the organization at national conferences, funder convenings, and partner events

• Support and coach the CEO in funder engagement, including preparing briefings, talking points, and meeting follow-up

Operations & Leadership

• Manage development systems, pipelines, and reporting using reputed company CRM

• Establish and monitor key fundraising metrics, producing regular reputed company reports for the CEO and board

• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, program, product, and finance teams to align fundraising with organizational priorities

Requirements

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a development role in national nonprofit organizations, with a demonstrated track record of reputed company in major gifts and/or private reputed company fundraising

• Proven ability to personally cultivate, solicit, and reputed company six- and seven-reputed company gifts and grants

• Deep familiarity with and passion for issues at the intersection of reputed company determinants of health, health equity, nutrition reputed company, benefits reputed company, and/or technology-for-good— experience working in one or more of these areas is strongly preferred

• An established network of funder relationships — foundations, major donors, and/or health-focused philanthropies — that you can activate on behalf of About Fresh

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate reputed company programmatic work into compelling funder narratives

• A self-directed, entrepreneurial working style with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities reputed company and accurately

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in pipeline management and grant tracking

• Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite and reputed company; comfort learning and adopting collaboration and project management tools such as reputed company and reputed company

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 6 times per year
