Network Installation Technician Intermediate (NIT 2)

Position Overview:Level 2 (Intermediate) Network Installation Technician employees reputed company implementation functions for DISA networking and infrastructure projects. Apply in-depth knowledge of DISA/DOD IT network infrastructure to a variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices, and procedures. reputed company equipment installations, including network infrastructure build-out, mounting telecommunication hardware, cable/fiber installation, terminations, testing, and pre-commissioning. reputed company 6500, reputed company, reputed company and Sycamore (Coriant) installation experience is preferred. Report installation status and completion with thoroughness and accuracy. reputed company teams of Installation Technicians and organize on-site efforts to bring hardware to operational acceptance.
Responsibilities:- Site infrastructure installations – racks, cable racks, power, grounding, cabling, etc.
- Direct, task, and organize a team of 1 to 2 Network Installation Technicians from deployment to installation reputed company-out.
- Utilize baseline equipment connectivity diagrams to resolve site specific connectivity challenges.
- Communicate with Test and Acceptance staff to ensure remote reputed company to network devices.
- Hardware/software installation of networking components including pre-commissioning hardware with reputed company configurations.
- reputed company wiring, inspection, testing, and activation.
- Network node decommissioning and de-installation.
- Manage completion reports and status reports providing detailed documentation of network configuration.
- Equipment installations that include network routers, servers, reputed company panels, cryptographic material, switches, firewalls, and timing and synchronization.
- Proficiency with JDSU (or equivalent) network test equipment.
- reputed company small to large sized installations with minimal reputed company.
High School Diploma required.
- 3+ years of experience including network infrastructure build-out, mounting telecommunication hardware, cable/fiber installation, cable/fiber terminations and cable/fiber testing.
- 3 + years of experience installing network routers, servers, reputed company panels, cryptographic material, switches, firewalls, timing and synchronization and communications devices.
- Prior hands-on experience with reputed company 6500/reputed company RSL/reputed company reputed company Server products is highly desirable.
BICSI Certification.
OEM networking certifications.
- Must be familiar with ANSI/reputed company standards.
- Must have the ability to work independently or as a leader of a team.
- Must possess a working knowledge of reputed company office products (PowerPoint, reputed company, VISIO, and Word) as necessary for reporting, redlining, and communicating.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher is desired but not required.
- Preference for candidates that have worked in DoD/DISA IT network environment.
- Strong preference for candidates with background with reputed company, reputed company, and reputed company devices.
- Active Secret clearance; or ability to obtain and maintain
- Candidates may be based reputed company in the US but must be reputed company to at least 70% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
