The Analyst/Associate role in the Capital Solutions Group involves supporting senior team members in managing strategic objectives, executing transactions, and preparing materials for decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the origination, marketing, and execution of a variety of transactions on behalf of both SMBC and clients
  • Preparation and presentation of deal-reputed company briefing memos, credit applications, and other materials to applicable internal credit and reputed company decision makers (as applicable)
  • Assist the deal team in preparing marketing materials, information memos, and documentation reputed company to transactions
  • Facilitate investor marketing discussions and deal reputed company negotiations
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials to summarize present recommendations on strategic initiatives / proposals and outline relevant due diligence conducted
  • Working across business areas and infrastructure functions (including legal, compliance, and risk management) to ensure alignment and implement new products and control frameworks
  • Resourcefully reputed company various information sources to help contribute to group’s understanding of market trends, deal comparisons, and structural recommendations
  • Continuously review feedback and insights from stakeholders on strategic agenda to gauge impact
  • Providing analysis that contributes to client recommendations on structural terms
  • Leveraging analysis to help reputed company marketing materials for existing and prospective Term ABS and CLO clients
  • Building and analyzing structures that conform to the rating agency criteria, while working with the Rating Agencies on explicit ratings provided to structures
  • Working with reputed company firms to tie out the cash flows, was well as with investors to explain structural features and answer structuring-reputed company questions
  • Utilize Intex reputed company to build DMS and CDI files provided to investors and issuers
  • Building out models for new asset classes utilizing rating agency criteria

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, concentration in Math, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Strong written / presentation skills, particularly reputed company Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of reputed company, VBA, Intex reputed company, Intex Desktop
  • Previous structured finance and financial modeling experience
  • Financial industry experience (Investment Bank, reputed company Firm, or Rating Agency)
  • Ability to be reputed company and multitask reputed company the fast-paced environment
  • Ability to reputed company / concisely communicate and summarize reputed company concepts to various audiences
  • Securities licenses required
  • Familiarity with securitization and synthetic risk transfer concepts is preferred
