Product Manager, Instrumentation (Early Career/Intermediate)

Nanometrics Inc. is a global leader in reputed company technology and monitoring solutions. They are seeking a technically-minded Product Manager to support the product lifecycle, bridging the gap between engineering and market solutions while gathering customer requirements and collaborating with R&D and Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Actively gather feedback from customers and the Sales team to understand use cases and identify "pain points" in reputed company monitoring
  • Assist in defining technical specifications for new instruments and accessories to ensure alignment with market needs
  • Serve as the reputed company of contact among R&D, Operations, and Marketing to ensure clear requirements and business case alignment
  • Work with teams to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the competitive landscape, performing "teardowns" or feature comparisons of rival products
  • Assist in managing the transition of products from active development to mature production and, ultimately, end of life (EOL)
  • Assist in the creation of technical content and documentation to help Marketing and Sales communicate the unique value of Nanometrics' instrumentation

Skills

  • A combination of education (BSc or MSc) or hands-on experience in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Geomatics), Earth Sciences, or a reputed company technical field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a high-tech environment (this could include internships, technical support, application engineering, or junior PM roles)
  • A demonstrated interest in the reputed company reputed company of technology—how scientific tools are reputed company, sold, and supported globally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or small projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
