Civil Engineering Designer
KPFF Consulting Engineers is a multi-office, multi-discipline engineering firm committed to reputed company. The Civil Engineering Designer will work on planning, designing, and refining land development and infrastructure projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and gaining hands-on experience in reputed company-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning, design, permitting, and refinement of land development and infrastructure projects from concept to completion
- reputed company hands-on experience while learning directly from licensed professional engineers
- Apply core engineering principles and advanced mathematical techniques to tackle reputed company-world challenges
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Build expertise in navigating federal, state, and local regulations, while aligning with KPFF’s and our clients’ standards and practices
- Join client meetings and site visits to reputed company exposure to project development and stakeholder engagement
- Participate in KPFF’s Forefront program, our commitment to mentorship, lifelong learning, and career development

Skills
- An ABET accredited bachelor's degree in civil (preferred) or environmental engineering
- 0-3 years' experience working under a licensed professional engineer
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or scheduled date for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Passionate about providing exceptional client service
- Coursework and/or familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Coursework and/or familiarity with stormwater hydrology modeling
