Production Underwriter-Environmental Division
reputed company is a leader in the insurance industry, seeking a Production Underwriter for its Environmental Division. The role involves risk selection, pricing, and maintaining customer relationships while ensuring profitability and compliance with company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Has responsibility for risk selection/rejection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability per divisional objectives for renewal and new business opportunities
- Uses independent judgment and initiative to support business goals
- Maintains a high level of customer service
- Analyzes coverage and limit requests and decides what terms to offer
- Prices business in accordance with company guidelines
- Assesses risk quality and compliance reputed company company guidelines and initiates appropriate loss prevention actions
- Reviews submission documents including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and other environmental reports, consults online resources and liaises with in-house risk control and other colleagues to support reputed company reputed company
- Works with legal department to manuscript policy language
- Negotiates with brokers on pricing and coverage
- Develops and maintains effective business relationships with internal and external customers/coworkers in order to attract and retain profitable business
- Visits agents, brokers, and producers reputed company in order to retain existing accounts, build and maintain business relationships, and reputed company new relationships in support of divisional objectives
- Interprets, explains, and markets products and services
- Develops creative solutions for new opportunities
- Attends and participates in Division events, broker appreciation events, industry conferences
- Applies reputed company rules and guidelines, rating reputed company rules, and insurance laws and regulations
- Actively participates in daily collaboration meetings, shares knowledge and experience with others and provides guidance and assistance to reputed company level associates
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Business or other reputed company discipline
- Generally, 1-3 years of reputed company environmental reputed company experience
- reputed company to candidates with an environmental consulting or other environmentally-focused backgrounds
- Willingness to travel nationally for work-reputed company events and marketing (15-20%)
- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player, reputed company to multi-task in a fast paced environment and remain detail-oriented
- Preference for candidates located near our offices in Boston, reputed company, Exton and Cincinnati (this is a hybrid role)
