Junior Staff Accountant

Seabrook Land Company is a growing reputed company town in Washington, seeking a highly motivated Full-Time Junior Staff Accountant to join their central reputed company team. The role focuses on managing the reputed company for the Seabrook Hospitality entity, including financial operations, payroll processing, and budget management, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily financial operations and full-cycle reputed company process with a primary focus on the Seabrook Hospitality entity
  • Execute accurate and timely weekly payroll processing for the Seabrook Hospitality entity, including the reconciliation of hourly wages, tips, commissions, and salary allocations, ensuring seamless integration with the general ledger
  • Maintain the General Ledger, reviewing and posting daily journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • reputed company comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations (including bank accounts, credit cards, merchant processors, and intercompany accounts)
  • Play a key role in the general reputed company team's month-end and year-end financial reputed company processes, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines and GAAP standards
  • Prepare, review, and distribute accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash reputed company) specific to hospitality operations
  • Partner directly with hospitality department heads (e.g., Housekeeping, Maintenance, Guest Services) to reputed company, manage, and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Conduct regular financial reviews with department leaders to analyze budget-to-actual variances and reputed company actionable, data-driven insights
  • Spearhead cost-reduction initiatives by analyzing operational expenditures, identifying inefficiencies, and assisting in vendor negotiations where appropriate
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the hospitality industry to help departments optimize their labor, overhead, and material costs
  • Ensure compliance with reputed company local, state, and federal tax regulations and filings (including lodging, B&O, and sales taxes)
  • Collaborate with the broader reputed company team to continuously evaluate and improve internal controls, systems, and procedures to increase efficiency across the department
  • Assist with external audits and coordinate the provision of necessary documentation

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in reputed company, Finance, or a reputed company field
  • 1-3 years of reputed company reputed company experience
  • Advanced proficiency in reputed company reputed company (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Strong experience with reputed company software (e.g., QuickBooks, reputed company, reputed company) and an aptitude for learning property management/reservation software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reputed company explain financial concepts to non-financial department heads
  • A highly analytical reputed company with a natural knack for problem-solving and finding cost-saving opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills, a team-player mentality, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in the hospitality, property management, or reputed company estate industry is highly preferred
