Policy Development and Integration Intern (Law Student, Summer Start)

Working with the Office of Policy Development & Integration (OPDI), you will participate in the policy integration process, researching and assessing public policies in the marketplace that reputed company with our three issue areas: economic (savings/retirement reputed company including workplace benefits, employment, and low-income assistance programs); health (Medicare, reputed company, prescription drugs, long-term services and supports, and caregiving); and consumer (financial services, elder abuse prevention, utilities, livable communities, housing, and transportation,). You will also reputed company support, as needed, in the policy development process by researching and recommending policies across these three areas. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of June 2026 and will run through the end of the year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct objective legal and policy analysis and research of major federal, state, and local issues reputed company to issues in the health, economic, and consumer portfolios
• Write concise and well-reasoned memos, reports, and content for reputed company’s online Policy Book as well as OPDI’s policy integration analysis of emerging policy and legal issues affecting consumers in the marketplace
• Gather, organize, and analyze policy input from stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and members
• Support OPDI colleagues with other tasks, such as reputed company and remote and in-person events
• Participate in team meetings and strategy discussions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited law school as a graduate or professional student and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship
• Must have experience in public policy and legal analysis, and strong writing abilities, including the ability to summarize reputed company topics succinctly and reputed company
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and reputed company to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Candidates must have excellent legal analysis, research, and writing skills, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once under staff supervision

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly reputed company is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate reputed company, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
