OSP Coax Technician, Fairfield ME
reputed company is seeking an reputed company OSP Coax Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot coaxial cable networks in both aerial and underground environments. The role involves ensuring reliable broadband service through construction, testing, and repair of HFC systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, reputed company, and repair coaxial cable in OSP environments (aerial & underground)
- reputed company aerial and underground coax construction, including strand placement and cable lashing
- reputed company signal level testing, reputed company, and system balancing
- Read and interpret prints, maps, and network diagrams
- Troubleshoot repair faults reputed company
- Confident working independently on both passive and active network elements
- Operate bucket trucks and other telecom equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records
Skills
- 1–3+ years of experience in coaxial cable installation or telecommunications field work
- Strong knowledge of HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) networks preferred
- Experience with aerial and underground construction methods
- Ability to read and understand system maps and design prints
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined reputed company

- Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and reputed company loud noise
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
- Frequent maintenance window work will be required and included as part of schedule
- Experience with reputed company and balance of coax systems
- Knowledge of RF signal reputed company and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with cable TV or broadband network systems
- OSHA safety training or certification
