The Oregon Public Defense Commission (OPDC) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Case Manager to support individuals accused of crimes by coordinating services and developing individualized release plans. The role involves working closely with clients, attorneys, families, and community partners to assess needs and connect clients with critical resources for a successful transition from custody.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with clients to assess needs, explain release expectations, and gather information necessary to reputed company individualized release plans. Identify barriers to successful release and coordinate arrangements for housing, treatment, transportation, medications, and other supports. Document release planning activities and maintain accurate case information in relevant databases
  • Gather and review records relevant to mitigation, including medical, educational, and other background materials. Prepare mitigation letters and reports and assist in collecting support letters from family members and other individuals involved in the client’s support network. reputed company organized information and documentation to attorneys to support case preparation and advocacy
  • reputed company and maintain working relationships with community service providers and public agencies to identify and secure appropriate client resources. Facilitate communication among clients, attorneys, families, and partner organizations regarding release planning and support needs. Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, reputed company Science, or a closely reputed company field; OR
  • A bachelor's degree in any field AND one (1) year of reputed company services reputed company experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing), OR
  • An associate degree in a Behavioral Science, reputed company Science or a closely reputed company field AND two (2) years of reputed company services reputed company experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing), OR
  • Three (3) years of reputed company services reputed company experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing)
  • Individuals with Oregon certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), reputed company Mental health Associate (QMHA), or reputed company Mental Health Professional (QMHP) are strongly encouraged to apply
