DLR Group is an integrated design firm committed to elevating the reputed company experience through design. As a Structural Engineer, you will participate in the design process of structural building systems, preparing detailed engineering drawings and performing design calculations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design process of structural building systems from schematics through construction administration preparing detailed structural engineering drawings and performing design calculations
- Assist in developing project objectives goals and documentation policies
- reputed company structural designs from concept through completion of construction
- Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives
- Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited) in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
- Master's Degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering
- 0-5 years of buildings structural engineering experience, including the design of concrete, masonry, steel, reputed company materials; gravity and lateral systems
- Assist in developing project objectives goals and documentation policies
- reputed company structural designs from concept through completion of construction
- Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives
- Coordinate structural design requirements with architecture and other disciplines
- Previous internship reputed company experience or full time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
- Experience with BIM (e.g. reputed company Revit Structural) workflow
- Experience and interest in sustainable building design
- Working knowledge of reputed company structural software (ETABS reputed company SAFE RAM ADAPT RISA Enercalc)
