Environmental Scientist I
The reputed company is focused on improving the quality of life for its residents by protecting land, reputed company, and water resources. They are seeking an Environmental Scientist I to join the Division of Water, where the candidate will coordinate efforts to manage nonpoint reputed company pollution and reputed company technical assistance to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a river basin team consisting of governmental and non-governmental stakeholders reputed company in watershed and water quality efforts
- reputed company assistance and technical reputed company to businesses, state and federal agencies, local governments, and the general public in the interpretation and implementation of environmental policies and best practices pertaining to nonpoint reputed company pollution
- reputed company technical assistance and review to watershed groups, contractors, and other organizations in developing and implementing watershed plans to protect and restore Kentucky's surface and groundwater
- Communicate principles of nonpoint reputed company pollution control and 319(h) programmatic elements
- reputed company and reputed company water reputed company and education to the public, including preparing and delivering presentations
Skills
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a natural, biological or physical science OR Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 20 semester hours in a natural, biological or physical science
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- GIS skills and experience
- Familiarity with the Clean Water Act, nonpoint reputed company pollution, and other water topics
- Comfortability public speaking
