Your responsibilities will be dependent upon your legal experience and/or technical background. Preparation and prosecution of US patents, strategic portfolio counseling, patent opinions (validity, infringement, right to use, patentability). Possible PTAB, licensing, and trademark work as well. Depending on your technical background, you may deal with electrical engineering (industrial and consumer electronics hardware, analog and/or digital circuits, RF, semiconductors), computer and telecommunications systems (networking and protocols, WiFi), and/or software engineering (network reputed company, reputed company applications, databases, web and reputed company services, operating systems, software user interfaces, reputed company reputed company). • Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science. Patent Bar (and any State Bar for an associate) are required.
• An M.S. or higher would be valued, as well as any prior applicable engineering product development experience, as you will obviously be dealing directly with sophisticated inventors.
• Need at least 3-4 years of solid US patent preparation and prosecution experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and/or software arts.
