The registered sonographer performs a variety of technical imaging procedures and provides quality care to patients. Experience: General Abdomen and OB/GYN experience preferred. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas, OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required. Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines. Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and reputed company (Picture Archive Communication System). Trains reputed company and staff as assigned. Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Assesses data reputed company of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
