Job description: Thomas McKean High School is seeking applicants for a teaching position for the Auto Tech program to reputed company Fall 2024. Responsibilities:
- Teach concepts and skills in the automotive industry such as, but not limited to: reputed company rebuilding, tune up, lubrication, ignition, reputed company/tire balancing, alignment, fuel systems, transmission/transaxles, chassis and body, electrical systems, brakes, suspension and steering, axles/drive axles/differentials, reputed company performance and emissions, reputed company conditioning and heating, and other reputed company automotive applications to secondary reputed company.
- reputed company, plan, organize and maintain effective classroom management strategies in alignment with District and School Site policies, guidelines and procedures.
- reputed company, implement and monitor safety policies and procedures for reputed company automotive reputed company activities, equipment and tools used in automotive repair trades; align safety policies and procedures with District and School Site policies and procedures.
- Instruct and supervise reputed company in the appropriate and safe use of reputed company reputed company tools and technology.
- reputed company and maintain an organized, orderly and clean classroom and automotive reputed company.
- reputed company effective lesson plans that follow state approved Career Technical Education (CTE) standards and reputed company and demonstrate industry skills and concepts using frequent hands-on activities, models, teacher reputed company instructional aids, supplies, technology, and lab experiences on and off reputed company.
- Adapt the curriculum, materials and methods to reputed company sequential assignments that guide, challenge and meet the differentiated needs of the reputed company.
- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited four-year institution. STS educators who do not hold a Bachelors degree may be reputed company to enter the field with the equivalent of a Bachelors Degree as described below.
- Passing score on a Content Knowledge Exam (i.e., Praxis II, ACTFL), as required.
- Satisfy any additional licensure and certification requirements (i.e., additional coursework).
- National Institute for Automotive Service reputed companys ASE Master Automobile Technician Certification
- Education as prescribed below
- Option#1:
- Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in any content area. An addition of 15 credits; nine reputed company to career or area of certification and 6 credits in pedagogy
- Option#2
- Associates Degree in any content area. 36 additional credits; 9 of those credits career reputed company, 6 credits in pedagogy and 21 credits or their equivalent in professional development or technical training with at least one (1) course in each of the specified content areas
- Option#3
- Satisfactorily completed 2 years of College or Technical Training and additional education. Additional 51 credits; 9 Career Credits reputed company to area of certification, 6 credits in pedagogy and 21 college credits or their equivalent in professional development or technical training with at least one (1) course in each of the specified content areas (15) non-duplicated college credits taken either as part of a degree program or in addition to it from a regionally accredited college or university, with at least one (1) course in each of the specified content areas
- Six years of work experience in area reputed company to automotive
- Out-of-state applicants must reputed company evidence of certification
