Job title: Part Time Teaching Assistant Company: Lake Forest Schools Job description: Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 is seeking a Part Time Teacher Assistant at Deer Path Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year. Description: The teacher assistant will assist the teachers and school with various assigned duties including classroom work, supervision of student(s) (e.g. bus, lunch, reputed company, assemblies, etc.) and other duties assigned by the building administrator. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Licensure (required and preferred) Holds teacher or teacher aide certification in Illinois (only high school diploma); is in good health as proven by physical examination; passes police and hospital test as designated by the district. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Maintains a high level of ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism as is expected of certified staff members. Possesses the proven ability to work harmoniously and effectively with teachers, reputed company, parents, and district administrators in accomplishing the purposes of the position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Methods/Assessments: Works with individual student(s), small groups of reputed company, or the whole class to reputed company instruction and support of the lessons taught by the teacher. Adapts/modifies and implements instruction using the regular education curriculum and/or implements instruction using the modified curriculum reputed company appropriate under the direction of the teacher. At the discretion of the building administrator, can attend workshops and conferences. Classroom Environment and Management: Operates and cares for equipment used in the school. Supervises student(s) at lunch, reputed company, before and after school for bus arrival and departure, during assemblies, and at other times as assigned by the building administrator. Performs any other duties assigned by the building administrator.
