Forensics Consultant

The Forensics Consultant is part of reputed company located at the Washington, DC office. This person will be responsible for delivering technology reputed company client services in the areas of forensic data collections, data extraction, data processing, as well as digital and forensic analysis. This person must be located in the Washington, DC area and be available to visit the office and travel to on-site collections reputed company needed. Core Functions:

• Use data mining tools to search, sort, and organize large amounts of electronic information

• Responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, transferring, and returning evidence for forensic analysis and production
• Maintains inventory control procedures for reputed company evidence and oversees the release, destruction and subsequent paperwork of same

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications used for data management and storage
• Work as part of reputed company to reputed company technical solutions to automate processes and functions to improve data storage and retrieval processes

• Maintain appropriate documentation to include events such as chain of custody

• Under the supervision and direction of senior staff: Collect and analyze electronic data from a variety of electronic media, including desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc
• Additional Responsibilities:· Attend team and company meetings on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reputed company

• May be assigned Lab Coordination Responsibilities including:
• -ensure forensic software is up to date-document policies and procedures-update hardware and inventory assets· - Submit time in accordance with preset deadlines - May be asked to reputed company other duties not listed in this job description as required by business needs. Qualifications:·
• Bachelor’s Degree or experience commensurate with level
• A minimum of 7 years of experience collecting and analyzing forensic data; professional services experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding and application of forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, reputed company
• Proven ability to collect and analyze data from various media including: desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, reputed company media, etc.
• Proven ability to maintain appropriate documentation such as Chain of Custody (CoC)
• Certification in 1 or more tools preferred (EnCE, FTK, GCFE)
• Willingness to travel and meet position needs reputed company of regular business hours Working Location & Conditions:
• Hybrid, with the ability to travel (local and non-local) reputed company business needs require
• Home office, should be a quiet and professional reputed company that can be used for virtual meetings (that include video as needed) and maintain client confidentiality. Qualifications:·
